Andrews Park is a great little oasis for locals in Redondo Beach who need a little bit of elbow room.
Located just east of Aviation Boulevard between Grant Avenue and Artesia Boulevard, Andrews Park is spread out over 1.61 acres of mostly grassy fields that offer enough room for a pick-up game, playing catch, flying a kite, or tossing the Frisbee around. Unfortunately for some, no dogs are allowed.
Andrews Park is also a good place to bring kids for some quick play time on the plastic play structure, or to bring family and friends together under the picnic shelter or at some of the outdoor tables. Restrooms are available at Andrews Park, making it quite a bit easier to let the kids play for a longer stretch of time.
“The park is often empty,” said one Yelp review. “Folk from the neighboring retirement home and parents with very young children are its main visitors. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is it.”
If you’re looking for a quiet, local park that is almost never crowded, Andrews Park is a good bet. Visit the park’s official site or check on Foursquare for a few photos.
